How to Use the
Katrina Appeal Video

The video (or DVD), designed for adults and older youth, may be used in a variety of settings:

• In regular weekly worship or Sunday/weekday school
  
  
• As part of an ongoing Bible study or discussion group
  
  
• In a community worship service with participants from neighboring United Methodist congregations
  
  
• To inspire generosity before receiving a love offering for the Katrina Church Recovery Appeal
  
  
• As a mission lesson during a church dinner or other special event
  
  
• As a youth program
  
  
• As part of a display that also includes facts about areas affected by Hurricane Katrina
  

We encourage you to use the video and guide to enrich your congregation's existing programs and opportunities. If possible, show the video as the sermon and use the worship resources in this guide to design a service that fits your congregation.
